Bucket List

Today was a day of sightseeing in and around Beijing.  We met up with the other families with our agency at 8:30am. (There are 6 other families traveling with us, each of us adopting through the special needs program.) We started the day at Tienanmen Square and then walked from there to the Forbidden City.  We had lunch at a Cloisonne factory (where I splurged on two gorgeous vases).  After lunch we climbed the Great Wall.  I made it half way to the fourth tower but then turned back for fear I might not make it back! What a long and exhausting and absolutely incredible day!  The very best part though was as we were driving back to the hotel our guide Michelle handed us our TA explaining it was the official documents allowing us to adopted Macy.

We leave the hotel at 5:30 am to fly to Guiyang and meet Macy at 3pm. AND, since it is now 12:45am I can officially say that TODAY is GOTCHA DAY!
