Searching for The You We Adore: Book Review and Giveaway

I recently had the chance to review a children's adoption book called "Searching for The You We Adore" and I have to admit I adored this book...and so did my girls.

This is a exceptionally beautiful, gift quality book and a must have for any adoptive family's bedtime library!

Valerie Westfall's writing is almost lyrical and I found it easy and smooth to read aloud to the girls. I loved how the book travels the world without focusing on one particular country.  With kids from multiple countries that is always a huge positive for us.  

Richard Cowdrey's museum quality illustrations are gorgeous...rich with color and detail.  (My first thought was these would be beautiful prints for the kid's room and it turns out you actual can get them---they really are that beautiful!)

Macy and Nina loved following the glossy red ribbon around the world and at one point Macy announced with glee that the red ribbon was "mommy's heart looking for us".  

 This book is lovely and one we will read over and over. If you are like me and have a collection of adoption themed children's books you must add this one to your collection.
